3 week agoOur brunch at Hatch 44 was wonderful! The coffee and fall lattes wer delicious. The fig latte wa one of the best I ever had. There were a few vegan options for brunch too! Our server Mericis wa great, attentive and very nice. We will definitely go back

2 month agoI dined in for breakfast at Hatch44 for a birthday celebration and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Our waitress Gabi recommended the Cafe Con Leche latte and I’m so glad that I took her advice. The coffee is the perfect balance of sweet and smooth with enough cinnamon to not overpower the expresso. Then the chicken and waffles. It was the perfect balance of sweet, savory, plus creamy with the sunny side up egg. The waffle was fluffy and the chicken was perfectly seasoned to complement the sweet bacon jam. This dish was so good that I didn’t want to talk about anything. My main focus was the conversation my plate was having with my taste buds. And each bite had an uniqueness that needed its own moment of silence. From the service, to the warm and bustling atmosphere, and the varying options on the menu including their vegan options, this is a spot that anyone with a taste for breakfast can enjoy. This is one of the best brunch spots in New Jersey for a reason. 10/10

2 month agoThis café has such an amazing vibe I visited during Halloween weekend, and the atmosphere was just perfect! The food is equally impressive honestly, some of the best I’ve had. The French toasts here are a must-try; the bread literally melts in your mouth. My favorite was the Coffee Cream Toast, hands down the best cream experience I’ve ever had with French toast. The Harvest Chili was delicious too flavorful and comforting, already packed with protein. If you’re extra hungry, you can add chicken, but it’s great on its own for a lighter meal. The drinks were no less amazing! If you’re a chai lover, don’t miss the Desi Dream it’s unlike any chai you’ve ever had. We also tried the Apple Crisp Matcha, which was a delightful surprise. Service was great, friendly, attentive staff and quick turnaround on orders. Overall, this place has the perfect mix of great food, cozy vibes, and warm hospitality. Can’t wait to go back!

2 month agoHatch 44 in Metuchen is incredible. I came in today and ordered the This Chick Is Vegan dish and it was honestly one of the best vegan brunch plates I’ve ever had — the chickpea omelet, kale, squash, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, pico, avocado, and sweet plantains were all perfect together. The flavors were fresh, balanced, and cooked beautifully. I also tried the Oh Fig! espresso drink and WOW — the fig, maple, and cinnamon syrup combo with the house whip was next level. It’s unique, smooth, and tastes like something you can only get here. But what really made the experience amazing was our server, Gabby. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. She checked in at the right times, made great recommendations, and had such a positive energy that elevated the whole visit. Servers like her are the reason people come back. If you go to Hatch 44, ask for Gabi— she’ll take great care of you. Definitely coming back. Highly recommend!

2 month agoFirst of all, I understand the MANY 5 star reviews of this place. The food is absolutely FANTASTIC. We loved literally everything we put in our mouthes: chai tea, pumpkin latte, chicken & waffles, steak & eggs, and classic French toast to end the meal. Everything, EVERYTHING was 10/10! And Gabby is the sweetest, most attentive server ever! She was so funny and gave honest recommendations. She was anticipating our needs very very well. Thank you again Gabby, for great service and great vibes! If you still aren’t sure if you should eat here, DO IT! You won’t regret it at all oh and they have a great variety on their menu for vegetarians and vegans! Check it out!

3 month agoWe love this place, it is well worth the hour long drive every time! Great atmosphere, service, and yummy food! We came for my wife's early birthday brunch. They sang happy birthday and even gave a yummy cake to celebrate her. Our server Mericis D. was so polite, and attentive to our needs. Highly recommend this place and to ask for Mericis when you come! We leave here as always happy, full, and ready to come back every time! Thank you to Hatch 44 and all it's exceptional staff! 4 month agoVery lovely Cafe! We enjoyed our “This Chick is Vegan” Chick Pea omelettes with delicious chopped, seasoned veggies! Friendly & welcoming waitstaff! It’s such a beautifully decorated space & it does make brunch feel special! Yummy plantains instead of home fries were the brunch companion food I didn’t realize that I needed. Yummy!!! Looking forward to the day this cafe opens a new location in Northern New Jersey!

4 month agoI had such an amazing experience at Hatch 44 Café! The restaurant itself is beautiful, the atmosphere is warm, inviting, and the décor is so cute and thoughtfully put together. But what truly made my visit special was the outstanding service from Mericis. She was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. Her recommendations were absolutely spot on, and you could tell she really cares about creating a great experience for her guests. Between the delicious food, the cozy vibe, and Mericis’ exceptional service, Hatch 44 Café has definitely earned a spot on my favorites list. Highly recommend!
